Since their inception, the Websters have been regarded as one of the top cover bands in the Midwest. Week after week, they perform today's popular music with startling accuracy. Over time, the Websters' originality found its way into their covers with unique adaptations, mixes and medleys of their setlist.
In 1998, the Websters' desire to create original music reached an all-time high. Under the alias "Project W", the Websters entered the studio to create their first original work, Via Satellite; which features an eclectic mix of several musical styles, with hard rock, R&B and techno influences.
In 2004 The Websters recorded their second original album,
The Websters Live, during a promotional video shoot at Long Street Live in Columbus, OH. It features eight new original songs plus two favorites from Via Satellite, all performed live.
